Structured care • Intentional Exercise • Limited Spots
*Not your average Daycare*
Our daycare program is designed for dogs who need more than just a place to spend the day. At Folly Dogs, daycare is structured, purposeful, and centered around your dog’s overall well-being.
This program has very limited spots, and often times a wait list. So please reach out at your earliest convenience to check availability. We only allow 5 Daycare dogs per day. We keep the group intentionally small. This service is provided at our home on James Island.
We focus on calm socialization, exercise, enrichment, rest, and reinforcement of good habits throughout the day — helping your dog return home fulfilled, balanced, and better behaved (not just tired).
This is not chaotic free-for-all daycare. It’s an intentional experience built for dogs to thrive physically, mentally, and socially.
Ideal for dogs who:
Benefit from healthy exercise and training
Thrive on structure and routine
Enjoy socialization in a controlled environment
Need a productive outlet during the workday
Structured Daycare Memberships:
Two, Three, or Five Days Per Week
Drop off times start at 6:30am
Pick up times end at 6pm
This program is run Monday - Friday
Our daycare program is offered as a recurring membership with options for two, three, or five consistent days per week. Families select the schedule that best fits their dog’s needs, and payment is made monthly to reserve those recurring daycare days.
We use a membership model because dogs thrive with consistency, routine, and repetition. Attending multiple days each week allows your dog to become comfortable with our team, settle into the daily rhythm, build appropriate relationships with other dogs, and consistently practice calm, healthy behaviors.
The more regularly your dog attends, the more opportunity we have to reinforce structure, confidence, social skills, fitness, and good manners.
Membership Options
2 Days Per Week — $425 / month
Approximately $49 per daycare day
A great option for dogs who need additional exercise, enrichment, and socialization while maintaining a lighter weekly schedule.
3 Days Per Week — $625 / month
Approximately $48 per daycare day
Ideal for dogs who benefit from more frequent activity, structure, and consistency throughout the week.
5 Days Per Week — $950 / month (plus unlimited free boarding)
Approximately $44 per daycare day
Our most immersive option for dogs who need a dependable daily routine, regular exercise, ongoing socialization, and a productive outlet while their owners are at work. We offer FREE boarding when you are on this plan. Boarding available 7 days/ week.
A Day at Folly Dogs May Include:
Structured pack walks
Bike runs for dogs who are physically ready
Treadmill sessions
Carefully supervised socialization
Individual exercise and enrichment
Place work and calmness practice
Structured rest and crate time
Reinforcement of leash manners and everyday obedience
Massage, aromatherapy, and red light sessions to promote relaxation and healing
Every dog’s day is adjusted based on their age, fitness level, temperament, and individual needs. Our goal is not to keep dogs overstimulated all day—it is to create a healthy balance of movement, mental engagement, socialization, structure, and rest.
Your dog comes home fulfilled, settled, and ready to relax—not overstimulated from hours of uncontrolled play.
Daycare Eligibility and Evaluation
Dogs who have completed training with Folly Dogs are eligible to apply for our Daycare program.
Dogs trained elsewhere may be considered after completing a private evaluation. Evaluations are approximately one hour and take place at our James Island location. During this appointment, we’ll assess your dog’s temperament, social skills, responsiveness, and overall suitability for our structured daycare environment.
The evaluation fee is $100. If your dog is accepted into the daycare program, the full fee will be applied toward your first month of membership.
Dogs who suffer from reactivity or aggression do not qualify for this program.

More about Folly Dogs
Experience You Can Trust
Folly Dogs is a boutique dog training and care company serving families throughout Charleston from our location on James Island. We offer structured daycare memberships, overnight boarding, and immersive Board and Train programs designed to create calmer, happier, and more confident dogs.
With more than 13 years of professional experience, Stacey has helped thousands of dogs and their families. Our approach is calm, clear, relationship-based, and grounded in real life routines—not quick fixes, chaos, or overwhelm. Every dog in our care receives intentional structure, appropriate exercise, enrichment, socialization, rest, and individualized attention with a focus on healthy nutrition and behavior.
Before launching her training company, Stacey worked in government animal welfare managing an animal shelter. There, she saw firsthand how thoughtful training, compassionate care, and owner education could completely change the trajectory of a dog’s life.
That experience shaped everything that came next: training focused on communication, confidence, structure, and creating a peaceful life for both dogs and their people.
Over the course of her career, Stacey has offered private lessons, group training, off-leash dog camps, day training, Board and Train programs, daycare, and boarding. Today, Folly Dogs brings that experience together in a thoughtfully designed environment where dogs can learn, play, exercise, socialize, and rest under the guidance of an experienced professional.

FAQs
-
In-home day training is personalized dog training that happens right inside your home. We work with your dog for structured training sessions 5 days a week while you go about your schedule. At the end of each training session you receive video and written updates explaining what we worked on that day.
It offers the effectiveness of a board-and-train, combined with the clarity and involvement of private lessons — without your dog leaving home.
You’ll also receive:
Daily progress updates with photos/videos
Clear homework assignments to follow between visits
Short instructional videos recapping what we worked on
Owners are asked to work with their dog 10–15 minutes per day.
This consistency strengthens the bond between you and your dog and builds your confidence handling the leash, giving direction, and reinforcing calm behavior.
We train your dog — and we teach you, too. We are a team.
-
No, you don’t.
You can be home and a part of each session or you can go about your day.
Either way, after each session, you will receive training videos and/or homework in our app to recap what we worked on and guide your practice.
We do have one final transfer session at the end of the program that requires you to be present.
This session is typically around 90 minutes and focuses on your handling skills — making sure you feel confident, clear, and fully prepared to continue the training after the program wraps up.
-
Day Training programs run 2-3 weeks depending on your dog’s age, behavior, and goals. Training plans are always customized — no one-size-fits-all programs because every dog is different.
Our Board and Train program is 2 weeks.
